This article explains how to turn on or off Microsoft Defender Application Guard in Windows 11 for students and new users. Application Guard employs a unique hardware isolation approach to help protect your system from both old and new attacks.
Untrusted files are opened in a Hyper-V-enabled container by Application Guard. The host operating system is isolated from the Hyper-V container. This aids in the containment of attacks in isolated environments.
In Windows 11, here’s how to enable or disable it.
Click Start > Settings > Apps > Optional features in Windows 11.
More Windows features can be found under Related settings on the Optional features windows.
Scroll down the list of available features in the More Windows Features window to Microsoft Defender Application Guard and check the box next to it, then click OK.
Application Guard, as well as its dependencies, will be set up.
